Handcrafted, hand stitched animals of Africa

These lovely animals were made by hand by local co-ops of Rwanda. Women banding together as survivors of the Rwandan genocide. Women using their skills to provide opportunities for their families. Made with bright and bold Kitenge style cloth usually found wrapped around the women of Rwanda as a skirt providing protection to their clothes or a wrap for their babies to keep them tight on the back as these strong women cook, work, sell fruit, run shops, manage their homes and care for their children.
