MARCELA BIO PHOTO.png

Marcela Stacey holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering and is a professional project manager with over 25 years of experience in research and development of scientific and engineering projects. She retired from the Idaho National Laboratory and she now owns Elk Ridge Project Management Group, LLC. with strong focus on cybersecurity research projects.

A native of Chile, she collaborates with Chilean professionals to explore the adoption of small nuclear power plants in underserved areas in her native country. She has teamed with a young nuclear engineer from

India who earned her masters degree in the US. Together they are developing a grass roots program to educate Chilean youth regarding the science, risks and benefits, and how nuclear power can enable growth and quality of life in remote areas of the country.

The daughter of an elementary school teacher, she learned the value of self-sufficiency, inherited passion for learning, curiosity for the sciences, and love for service to others. She instilled her values on her 6 children, and is deeply moved by the opportunity to nurture east African children in those same core values: self-sufficiency, learning, sciences, service.
